About
I started with QB in March of 2006, what a learning curve! Add the fact that my last accounting course was Introduction to Accounting 3101 in 1966, and you can see my learning curve getting steeper.
I’m third generation retired military, a biker, and stubborn as hell. I work at it until I “get it”.
ROFL and yes I am “that” Rustler, my site click .
I sincerely suggest you get a copy of QB for Dummies, any year will do, the concepts are the same. The newer versions have more detail on the specific enhancements but basic operations are the same. The book that comes with QB is nothing more than a useless reprint of the QB help file in my opinion.
I kind of specialize in inventory, the way I feel is that if you can’t get a handle on what you are buying and control the costs, you will never grow the business. But that said I dabble in other areas too, use the categories on the right to wander through my writing - some span categories so check related subjects too, what you are looking for may be in another category.
Check out Bean Counting 3101 too, it is my version of basic accounting as QB seems to like it - ROFL
And don’t forget the glossary, you’d be surprised at how things clear up for you just by reading the definition.
I’ve added TAGS which are supposed to lead you directly to the topic, if they disappear then it means I was not satisfied with the way they act. At this time all topics are not tagged, it is a work in progress to see how it works. And in truth some of the topics are pretty general and do not really fit a tag, so feel free to scan the categories too.
ROFL I got asked how I figure out what to add to the blog, pretty simple, I get emails from folks and sometimes that makes me figure something out, and lately google has been hitting this site with search strings. So if you searched for something, come back in a day or two, I might have added it <smile>.
